One-time gig to configure NIC on Linux to get almost full performance.
The gig is following: there is a computer with 10 gbps, dual-port (dual SPF+), going into another similar computer.
Normally it has 9.9 Gbps when sending through one port/module, but when using both at once, the speed is not 9.9×2 as expected, but 6.5×2 (record was 7×2).
Configure the computer so that it gets the full speed over UDP or TCP.
Got 2 cards of one model, two of another model, got 2 computers to test with, got admin on site, but he didn’t manage to configure it.
We do not want to pay if it would fail to (to get at least 2×9.0 Gbps).
Please PM how much money you want if you succeed, and do you have expeerience.
We did attempted most obvious things that is: tested in more then 2 PCs, confirmed that PCIe works with actuall width x8 (and PCIe 2.0 so 5 GigaTransfer/sec), tried to set SMP affinity for the driver and for the test programs sending UDP.
